Match protection to the product
Plate, cut blanks and finished architectural panels require different handling discussions. Identify visible surfaces, separators, edge protection and the agreed finish before choosing packaging. Request packing details for review when appearance is critical.
Keep identification with the shipment
- Part numbers consistent with the drawing and packing list
- Heat or batch references retained as agreed
- Package dimensions and net / gross weight information
- Required material documents and receiving instructions
Define the delivery basis
Give the named port or destination and the preferred delivery basis in the RFQ. Clarify freight, insurance, unloading and documentation responsibilities in the commercial agreement. Availability, schedule and transit arrangements are confirmed in the quotation.
Receiving and storage
Inspect package condition at receipt, record discrepancies and retain labels and documents. Arrange suitable support, drainage and storage for the supplied surface condition. Follow the agreed finish-handling instructions and plan access for lifting and unloading.
