A continuous-strip purchasing format

A coil order brings different receiving and processing requirements from an order for individual flat plates. The buyer needs to define the strip and the wound package together: thickness and width alone do not establish whether a coil can be unloaded, stored or fed into the intended line.

Use this inquiry for continuous strip that will be decoiled or processed after delivery. SHANDONG DAZHI reviews the requested material designation, rolling condition, edge condition and coil arrangement before confirming a supply route. Any slitting or cut-to-length work belongs in the agreed scope.

Plan the conversion route

State whether the quotation is for a parent coil, slit coils or a separately agreed conversion package. For slitting, provide the width schedule and how quantities are allocated between widths. For cut lengths, include the finished length, flatness requirement, piece count and any cut-edge requirements in a separate schedule.

Receiving equipment must be suitable for the offered coil mass and dimensions. Agree packaging, lifting access and storage orientation before dispatch. Do not infer a supplier handling capacity or an acceptable bend radius from a photograph.

Send the line limits with the RFQ

  • Attach the material grade and strip dimension schedule.
  • Identify receiving-line limits and requested coil package geometry.
  • Separate conversion charges, edge treatment and packaging in the requested offer.
  • Specify traceability, inspection documents, destination and delivery basis.

Request the coil form explicitly. A quotation for a plate grade does not automatically establish coil availability in that designation. The offered material and processing route require confirmation for the actual order.

Can I order one wide parent coil and several slit widths?

Submit the width and tonnage allocation. Slitting feasibility, edge quality, coil sizes and commercial quantities are reviewed together.

Does this page establish a fixed coil size range?

No fixed range is published. Inside diameter, outside diameter, mass, width and thickness are agreed against the material offer and receiving equipment.

How is a coil different from cut-to-length sheet?

A coil is delivered as wound strip for a compatible processing line. Cut-to-length sheet is delivered in flat pieces under a separately defined size and flatness requirement.
